The Main Story

עיתון בין אויבים

A newspaper among enemies

From the trench war to the Blitzkrieg to the tunnel war – the new threat to the West. In April 2023, we published here the war plan of Hezbollah and Iran. The plan included the establishment of a joint command room for all the organizations and countries that are part of the body of war that threatens Israel with destruction: Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, Jihad, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, and the Houthis in Yemen. This plan was accompanied before its publication and followed by a promise from Nasrallah to invade the Galilee and attack Jewish villages and cities. The attack by Hamas on the kibbutzim and cities of the south, which was supposed to be simultaneous with the attack by Hezbollah in the north, not only according to the plan we published in April, but also according to the words of Aryeh Deri recently, clarified in what way such an invasion by the two-headed force of Hamas and Hezbollah from the north and the south would take place: Through underground tunnels and through a raid on the surface of the ground. This war plan is circumstantial and indirect proof that Hezbollah has capabilities that have not yet been revealed. To clarify how much this plan turns out to have circumstantial evidentiary value, let us recall that Hezbollah announced when publishing the war plan in April that the Houthis would be partners in it, something that seemed so far-fetched at the time that we were the only newspaper in the West to publish this (we did this because the determination of the Houthis became clear to us in their war against Saudi Arabia, that's why we believed Nasrallah's words that they would fight against Israel). With the publication of the plan, we also estimated that the Houthis would fire ballistic missiles at Israel; Our estimates turned out to be accurate. Two main points arise from all the above: one – before any conflict in the north, Israel must consider that an invading force from the Lebanese border may use capabilities that have not been revealed so far (and perhaps also in the Golan Heights). The second is for the attention of the West: Israel must decide the military struggle in the tunnels not only for its own existence but also to preserve the strength of the Western axis: if Israel does not decide the tunnels, the West will have to deal with them in the future and develop a doctrine of combat itself. If Israel conquers the tunnels, the lessons of the war will reach the West, and the blood and destruction suffered by the West in the previous war methods will be spared: the trench warfare 1914-1918, the Nazi Blitzkrieg 1939-1945.
