Hamas takes another step in giving up its rule and its weapons

The Palestinian Authority government, with Hamas's consent, has established the Executive Committee for the Management of the Gaza Strip. The committee will take Hamas' place in power in the Strip and, by agreement, disarm Hamas. At the same time: with the consent of Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, Egypt is asking Israel to allow the PA police to enter Gaza. The US is informed of the move and is aware of its details. The emergency conference in Cairo approved the move, and following it, Egypt turned to Israel with a request to agree to the entry of the Palestinian police into the Strip. An important Palestinian source: "The US is not announcing the move, as it will align itself with the Netanyahu government's decision; If the Netanyahu government rejects the plan, including Hamas's commitments to disarm, "The US will leave itself the option to deny the plan, and at the same time Hamas will also deny it."

These are the names of the members of the Gaza Management Committee, which was established by the Palestinian Authority government with the consent of Hamas:

Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan, head of the committee, current Minister of Health in the Palestinian Authority government, former resident of Gaza, and mayor of Gaza from 2005-2008, was born in Gaza in 1955. The Palestinian Authority government, with Hamas's consent, established the Gaza Management Committee. The committee, which consists of public figures, business, medical and academic figures, will manage the Gaza Strip and disarm Hamas by consensus. Since this is a broad process, in which Arab countries, led by Egypt, participate, Egypt has forwarded a request to Israel to allow the Palestinian Authority police to enter the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian police will be the only armed force in Gaza. Hamas will likely refuse the entry of an international force into the Strip. The emergency conference held in Cairo two weeks ago even confirmed its support for the plan. The US is secretly taking part in the plan, but according to a Palestinian source, it is still waiting for the Israeli government to decide, and if the Israeli government rejects the plan, the US will withdraw from it and even deny it. If the plan is implemented, Hamas will become an unarmed political movement, and it is possible that it and senior Fatah officials will lead Hamas' integration into the PLO. We do not know what the effects of the plan will be on Hamas in the West Bank; In our assessment, the Islamo-Nazi organization will try to leave this question open, as a bargaining chip in Palestinian negotiations with Israel and the US.
