As after the 1973 war, the public is signaling that it wants a state commission of inquiry

The hundreds of thousands of Israelis in the streets for the 18th week succeeded in delaying the despicable legislation that was about to overthrow the regime in Israel. This was supposed to be at the end of the process a Polish-Hungarian democracy, which would pave the way for a fanatical dictatorship. It should be said that the wretched political system in Israel is the one that enabled by its weakness and is the one that still enables the legislative proceedings against the judiciary, which is the court of review in the mission of the Israeli public, on the actions of the government and the governing institutions. The existence of the legislative documents against it even now in the Israeli legislature shows how weak the structure of Israeli democracy is, how easy it is to damage it, and how defenseless it is from the moment the proceedings against it began. It is now clear that Israeli democracy has no tools to defend itself. (On the other hand, one must of course be careful that too many tools will threaten democracy from the point of view of its protection).

Israel must create adequate and controlled tools to protect the democratic regime (an upper house of electors, which, in addition to its legislative essence, will also be a cultural platform for solving the public failure created after the Ashkenazi racial attack against Eastern Judaism from the middle of the 19th century until today, an attack whose impact on the current crisis – Decisive), and the basic constitutional rules of the Declaration of Independence, with the assumption that an attempt to tattoo the democratic regime, if there was one, will happen again. It can be assumed that there is a substantial proportion of fascism and tyranny seekers in Israel, and it will not disappear, as well as its desires to turn our wonderful and free home (to the extent that it is not enough already) into a dark and criminal religious fanatic kingdom. The Israeli political system, which has been playing with zero sum for many years (which indicates from another angle the incredible success of the fanatical right to break the pattern and bring it to the brink of regime destruction) will not be able to put in place the tools to defend the democratic regime. Therefore, the only factor that can bring about this, it is the only factor that managed to save Israel at least for the time being: the Israelis in the streets.

But first it must be checked in the legal sense and not only in the public sense that a move was indeed made against the foundations of the democratic regime in Israel, and if the answer is positive it must be determined legally; If it is determined that such a move was indeed made, it must be brought about that the people who are responsible for this move – will be prosecuted. The only legal body that can act in both directions from its public essence, that is, investigation-conclusion and recommendation for prosecution, is a state investigative committee.

The political system will not be able to voluntarily establish a state commission of inquiry, and therefore the Israeli public is once again the only one with the power to bring about this. It seems that the Israeli public in the streets understands this matter, the need to stop the despicable legislation but also the need to prevent similar attempts in the future, and it strives for this; This is probably the reason why they don't let up, just like after the Yom Kippur war, and they return to the streets every week, and never get tired. This is a wonderful authentic Israeli public, which brought the State of Israel to heights that are hard to believe, they carried it on their shoulders with miraculous powers, and they continue to carry it.
