A political source told Meir Journo, our military commentator: We don't know how to end the war

Syria will prevent the transfer of weapons from Iran to Hezbollah, despite the air force's warning attack in Syria

Turkey is scuttling the Israeli agreement with Syria, and secretly strengthening the alliance with Iran and Hezbollah

Israel sent a clear message to Syria this week, according to which the agreement negotiated between the countries under US auspices does not abandon the Druze in Syria, and any attack on the Druze by the Syrian army will be met with an attack on important Syrian assets. Our assessment is that Turkey is not satisfied with the modest place it received from Trump as the US's Middle East patron, and is secretly working to thwart Trump's new arrangement, in which Syria, Israel and Lebanon will cooperate in destroying Hezbollah. In our assessment, Turkey is strengthening its alliance with Iran to establish a third Muslim pole in the world's superpower picture, and is trying to prevent a Syrian attack on Hezbollah, in a way that would prevent Iran's collapse in a war with Israel and the US; this week, Erdogan once again used the terminology of annihilation that Iran has been using against Israel since the Shiite revolution in 1979 when he called Israel: "the Zionist genocide network."

By Meir Jurno, our military and security commentator

Israel this week moved large, armored forces from all IDF commands to the Lebanese border (see today's full analysis in the main story); an Israeli source reported that the IDF is approaching the moment of the order to invade Lebanon, on a mission to destroy Hezbollah. The source also said that Israel does not know how to end the war in Iran; it is possible that these two pieces of news are related to each other, the threat of destroying Hezbollah and the end of the war against Iran (see today's full analysis in the main story).

The fact that the IDF must transfer armored forces from its commands, as well as armored and logistics teams, makes it clear how important our lengthy investigation on the eve of the war, about the destruction of the armored corps, was, and how much the actions of the current fanatic government to prevent the full recruitment of Haredim endanger Israel (see today in the Diary section again the investigation of the tanks that continued in our newspaper between June and August 2023) (see in the archive our call in the past to recruit all Haredim immediately, and send thousands and perhaps even tens of thousands of absentees and deserters to a prison city in the Negev); Israel has been working since the beginning of the war to renew the Israeli armored force, and to return it to its greatness, one that brought Israel its great victories in defending the enterprise of the return to Zion, and the establishment of the Third Temple.
