In 2017, 20 years after the original broadcast, this journalistic investigation / interview was broadcast for the second time on Channel 2 News, this time on Rina Matzliach's program, and a few weeks after this broadcast, the second, Minister Tzachi Hanegbi announced on behalf of the Israeli government that there were indeed abductions of children among Yemeni immigrants. This was the first time that Israel had admitted to the abductions.

Five years after admitting the abductions, the Israeli government has compiled a paper detailing the compensation it seeks to provide to the families of the abducted children. The rate of compensation the state seeks to pay is low, even baseless, and reflects the fact that officially, the details of the abductions are still unknown and clear; If the clear knowledge about the abductions had been published, documented and unequivocally, the State of Israel would have had to pay significant compensation to the families of the children, and especially hit on sin and clarify the cultural motive for the abductions.
